Hadith of Mu'awiyah ibn Abi Sufyan (RA)

Hadith 435:79

Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Hurayz ibn Uthman informed us, he said: Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Awf al-Jurashi narrated to us, from Abu Hind al-Bajali, who said: We were with Mu'awiyah while he was on his couch and had closed his eyes. We discussed the migration (Hijrah), and one of us said: "It has ceased," and another of us said: "It has not ceased." Mu'awiyah awoke and said: "What were you discussing?" We informed him, and he was one who rarely narrated from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He said: "We discussed it in the presence of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he said: 'The migration will not cease until repentance ceases, and repentance will not cease until the sun rises from its place of setting.'"
