Narrated Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Salam: He said: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) arrived in Medina, the people rushed towards him. It was said: "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has arrived! The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has arrived! The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) has arrived!" three times. I came with the people to see him. When I looked at his face, I knew that his face was not the face of a liar. He said: The first thing he spoke was: "O people, spread the greeting (salam), feed the hungry, maintain kinship ties, and pray at night while the people are sleeping; you will enter Paradise in peace."
