Hadith of Muhammad ibn Hatib (RA)

Hadith 629:2

Aswad ibn Amir and Ibrahim ibn Abi al-Abbas narrated to us, they said: Sharik narrated to us, from Simak, from Muhammad ibn Hatib, who said: "I drew near to a pot of ours, and my hand was burned." Ibrahim said: "Or he said: 'So it swelled.'" He said: "So my mother took me to a man, and he began to speak words I did not know what they were, and he began to blow [spit lightly]. I asked my mother during the caliphate of Uthman who the man was, and she said: 'The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.'"
