Hadith 228:1
Makki ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Malik ibn Jurayj informed us, from Amr ibn Dinar, that Hisham ibn Yahya informed him, that Ikrimah ibn Salamah ibn Rabi’ah informed him, that two brothers from Banu al-Mughirah met Majma’ ibn Yazid al-Ansari. He said: "I bear witness that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, commanded that a neighbor should not be prevented by his neighbor from fixing a wooden beam into his wall." The one who was sworn to said: "O my brother, I know that the judgment is in your favor, and you have sworn an oath, so place a pillar in front of my wall." The other did so, and he fixed the wooden beam into the pillar. Ibn Jurayj said: Amr said: "And I looked at that."
حدثنا مكي بن إبراهيم، قال: أخبرنا عبد الملك بن جريج، عن عمرو بن دينار، أن هشام بن يحيى أخبره، أن عكرمة بن سلمة بن ربيعة، أخبره أن أخوين من بني المغيرة لقيا مجمع بن يزيد الأنصاري، فقال: إني أشهد " أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أمر أن لا يمنع جار جاره أن يغرز خشبة في جداره " فقال الحالف: أي أخي قد علمت أنك مقضي لك، وقد حلفت فاجعل أسطوانا دون جداري، ففعل الآخر، فغرز في الأسطوان خشبة، قال ابن جريج: قال عمرو: وأنا نظرت إلى ذلك
