Musnad Ahmad 303:21

'Affan narrated to us, Aban narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, Mutarrif ibn 'Abdullah narrated to us, that his father narrated to him, saying: I arrived at the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) while he was reciting this surah: "The mutual rivalry for piling up (worldly things) diverts you" (Al-Takathur). He mentioned the like of it exactly, and it does not contain the statement of Qatadah, meaning like the hadith of Hammam. 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad narrated to us, 'Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: And I heard it from 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Shaybah, he said: Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, from Shaddad ibn Sa'id Abu Talhah al-Rasibi, he said: Ghaylan ibn Jarir narrated to me, from Mutarrif ibn 'Abdullah ibn al-Shikhkhir, from his father, he said: "I came to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) while he was praying, sitting or standing, and he was reciting: 'The mutual rivalry for piling up (worldly things) diverts you,' until he finished it."
