Hadith 563:2
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Zakariyya, [who] narrated to us from 'Amir, from 'Abdullah ibn Muti', from his father, that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, on the day of the conquest of Mecca, saying: "No Qurayshi shall be killed in captivity after today." And no one among the disobedient ones of Quraysh reached Islam except Muti'. His name was 'Asi (Disobedient), so the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, named him Muti' (Obedient).
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد، عن زكريا، حدثنا عامر، عن عبد الله بن مطيع، عن أبيه، أنه سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم فتح مكة يقول: " لا يقتل قرشي صبرا بعد اليوم " ولم يدرك الإسلام أحد من عصاة قريش، غير مطيع " وكان اسمه عاصيا، فسماه النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم مطيعا "
