Hadith 663:3
'Abd al-Hamid ibn 'Abd al-Rahman Abu Yahya al-Hammani narrated to us, he said: Salamah ibn Nabit narrated to us, he said: My father, my grandfather, and my uncle were with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He said: My father informed me, he said: "I saw the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, delivering a sermon on the evening of 'Arafah while upon a red camel." Salamah said: My father advised me regarding the prayer of the dawn (al-sahar). I said: "O my father, I cannot endure it." He said: "Then look to the two rak'ahs before the dawn (fajr), so do not ever abandon them, and do not involve yourself in the tribulation (fitnah)."
حدثنا عبد الحميد بن عبد الرحمن أبو يحيى الحماني، قال: حدثنا سلمة بن نبيط قال: كان أبي وجدي وعمي مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: أخبرني أبي قال: " رأيت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يخطب عشية عرفة على جمل أحمر " قال: قال سلمة: أوصاني أبي، بصلاة السحر، قلت: يا أبة، إني لا أطيقها، قال: " فانظر الركعتين قبل الفجر فلا تدعنهما، ولا تشخص في الفتنة "
