Hadith 250:1
Ishaq ibn Ibrahim al-Razi narrated to us, he said: Salamah ibn al-Fadl al-Ansari narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq narrated to us, he said: Sa’d ibn Tariq al-Ashja’i—who is Abu Malik—narrated to me, from Salamah ibn Nu’aym ibn Mas’ud al-Ashja’i, from his father Nu’aym, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say when he read the letter of Musaylimah the Liar. He said to the two messengers: "What do you two say?" They said: "We say as he said." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "By Allah, were it not that messengers are not to be killed, I would have struck off your necks."
حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم الرازي، قال: حدثنا سلمة بن الفضل الأنصاري، قال: حدثنا محمد بن إسحاق، قال: حدثني سعد بن طارق الأشجعي وهو أبو مالك، عن سلمة بن نعيم بن مسعود الأشجعي، عن أبيه نعيم، قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: حين قرأ كتاب مسيلمة الكذاب، قال للرسولين: فما تقولان أنتما؟ قالا: نقول: كما قال، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " والله لولا أن الرسل لا تقتل لضربت أعناقكما "
