Hadith 883:4
'Affan narrated to us, Mu'alla ibn Rashid al-Hudhali narrated to us, he said: My grandmother, Umm 'Asim, narrated to me, from a man from Hudhayl who was called Nubayshah al-Khayr, and he had companionship [with the Prophet], she said: Nubayshah entered upon us while we were eating from a bowl, and he said to us: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, narrated to us: "Whoever eats from a bowl, then licks it, the bowl asks for forgiveness for him."
حدثنا عفان، حدثنا المعلى بن راشد الهذلي، قال: حدثتني جدتي أم عاصم، عن رجل من هذيل يقال له: نبيشة الخير، وكانت له صحبة، قالت: دخل علينا نبيشة، ونحن نأكل في قصعة، فقال: لنا حدثنا النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: " أنه من أكل في قصعة، ثم لحسها، استغفرت له القصعة "،
