Hadith 883:6
Muhammad ibn Abi ‘Adi narrated to us, he said: Ibn ‘Awn narrated to us, from Jamil, from Abu Mulayh, from Nubayshah, who said: It was mentioned to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: "We used to slaughter the *‘Atirah* (a sacrifice performed in the month of Rajab) during the Pre-Islamic period (Jahiliyyah)." He said: "Slaughter for the sake of Allah in any month that it may be, and be dutiful to Allah, and feed (others)."
حدثنا محمد بن أبي عدي قال ابن عون: حدثنا عن جميل، عن أبي مليح، عن نبيشة، قال: ذكر للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: كنا نعتر في الجاهلية، قال: " اذبحوا لله في أي شهر ما كان ، وبروا الله وأطعموا "
