Musnad Ahmad 772:4

Abdullah said: Ubaydullah ibn Umar—meaning al-Qawariri—narrated to us, Hammad—meaning ibn Zayd—narrated to us, Hajib ibn al-Mufaddal—meaning ibn al-Muhallab—narrated to us, from his father, from al-Nu’man ibn Bashir, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Bring your children close to one another," meaning: treat them equally.
