Musnad Ahmad 1091:5

'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, Harb—meaning Ibn Shaddad—narrated to us, Yahya—meaning Ibn Abi Kathir—narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Qurashi narrated to us, Ibn Jabir ibn 'Atik narrated to me, that his father informed him—and his father was one of the companions of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace)—that the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Indeed, among the jealousy..." and he mentioned its meaning, and he said: "The pride that Allah loves is a man’s pride in fighting, and his pride in charity. And the pride that Allah hates is pride in transgression," or he said: "in boasting."
