Hadith of Nu'man ibn Muqarrin (RA)

Hadith 1091:6

I read to Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi: Malik, from Abdullah ibn Jabir ibn Atik, from Jabir ibn Atik, that he said: Abdullah ibn Umar came to us in Bani Mu'awiyah, a village among the villages of the Ansar, and said to me: "Do you know where the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, prayed in this mosque of yours?" I said: "Yes," and I pointed out to him a side of it. He said: "Do you know what the three things are that he supplicated for in it?" I said: "Yes." He said: "Then inform me of them." I said: "He supplicated that no enemy from other than themselves should prevail over them, and that He should not destroy them by years (of famine), and he was granted both. And he supplicated that He should not make their might (or fighting) among themselves, but he was denied that." He said: "You have spoken the truth; so the *harj* (bloodshed/strife) shall not cease until the Day of Resurrection."
