Hadith of Nu'man ibn Muqarrin (RA)

Hadith 1091:8

Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, Isra'il narrated to us, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Isa, from Jabir ibn 'Atik, from his paternal uncle, who said: I entered with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, upon a deceased person from the Ansar while his family were weeping. I said: "Are you weeping while the Messenger of Allah is present?" The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Leave them to weep as long as he is with them, but when it becomes *wajib* (obligatory/final), then let them not weep." Jabir said: I narrated this to 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz, and he said to me: "What is *wajib*?" I said: "When he is placed into his grave."
