Musnad Ahmad 1091:9

'Affan narrated to us, Aban narrated to us, Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Harith, from Ibn Jabir ibn 'Atik, from Jabir ibn 'Atik, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, there is a type of jealousy that Allah loves, and a type that Allah hates. And indeed, there is a type of pride that Allah loves, and a type that Allah hates. As for the jealousy that Allah loves, it is the jealousy regarding suspicion. As for the jealousy that Allah hates, it is the jealousy in the absence of suspicion. As for the pride that Allah loves, it is a man’s pride in himself during fighting, and his pride when giving charity. And the pride that Allah hates is a man’s pride in boasting and oppression."
