حديث قيس بن سعد بن عبادة

Hadith 1105:5

Waki’ narrated to us, Ibn Abi Layla narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Sa’d ibn Zurarah, from Muhammad ibn Sharhabil, from Qais ibn Sa’d, who said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came to us, so we prepared a bath for him, and he bathed. Then we brought him a garment dyed with wars (a yellow plant used for dyeing), and he wrapped himself in it. It is as if I am looking at the trace of the wars on his abdominal folds. Then we brought him a donkey for him to ride, and he said: "The owner of the donkey has more right to the front of his donkey." We said: "O Messenger of Allah, then the donkey is yours."

حدثنا وكيع، حدثنا ابن أبي ليلى، عن محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن سعد بن زرارة، عن محمد بن شرحبيل، عن قيس بن سعد، قال: أتانا النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فوضعنا له غسلا فاغتسل، ثم أتيناه بملحفة ورسية، فاشتمل بها، فكأني أنظر إلى أثر الورس على عكنه، ثم أتيناه بحمار ليركب، فقال: " صاحب الحمار أحق بصدر حماره " فقلنا: يا رسول الله، فالحمار لك
