Hadith 417:1
Abdullah ibn Ahmad said: Surayj ibn Yunus narrated to me, from his book, he said: Abu Isma'il al-Mu'addib informed us, from Isma'il ibn Abi Khalid, from Qays ibn 'A'idh, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, delivering a sermon while upon a slit-eared she-camel, and an Abyssinian slave was holding its nose-rein. And Qays perished during the days of al-Mukhtar.
قال عبد الله بن أحمد: حدثني سريج بن يونس، من كتابه، قال: أخبرنا أبو إسماعيل المؤدب، عن إسماعيل بن أبي خالد، عن قيس بن عائذ، قال: رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " يخطب على ناقة خرماء، وعبد حبشي ممسك بخطامها " وهلك قيس أيام المختار "
