Musnad Ahmad 87:6

Yahya ibn Ishaq narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Ayyub informed me, from Ubayd Allah ibn Zahr, from Bakr ibn Suwadah, from Qays ibn Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, my Lord has forbidden for me alcohol, the *kubah* (drum), and the *qanin* (stringed instrument). And beware of *ghubayra* (a fermented drink made from millet), for it is a third of the world’s alcohol." Hasan ibn Musa narrated to us, Ibn Lahi’ah narrated to us, he said: Ibn Hubayrah narrated it to me, he said: I heard an elder from Himyar narrating to Abu Tamim al-Jayshani, that he heard Qays ibn Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah al-Ansari, while he was in Egypt, saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "Whoever tells a lie against me intentionally, let him take his seat in the Fire—or a house in Hell." I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "Whoever drinks alcohol will come thirsty on the Day of Resurrection. Verily, every intoxicant is alcohol, and beware of *ghubayra*." This elder said: Then I heard ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Amr after that saying the same thing, and they did not differ except regarding "a house or a seat."
