Hadith 297:1
Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us, he said: Abu Khaythama narrated to us, from ‘Urwah ibn ‘Abdullah ibn Qushayr al-Ju‘fi, he said: Mu‘awiyah ibn Qurrah narrated to me, from his father, who said: I came with a group from Muzaynah and we gave the pledge of allegiance, and his shirt was unbuttoned. So I gave him the pledge of allegiance, and I inserted my hand through the opening of the shirt, and I touched the seal [of Prophethood]. ‘Urwah said: "I never saw Mu‘awiyah, nor his son, in winter or summer, except with their buttons undone; they never buttoned them."
حدثنا هاشم بن القاسم، قال: حدثنا أبو خيثمة، عن عروة بن عبد الله بن قشير الجعفي، قال: حدثني معاوية بن قرة، عن أبيه قال: أتيت في رهط من مزينة فبايعنا، وإن قميصه لمطلق، فبايعته فأدخلت يدي من جيب القميص، فمسست الخاتم " قال عروة: " فما رأيت معاوية، ولا ابنه شتاء، ولا حرا إلا مطلقي أزرارهما، لا يزران أبدا "
