Hadith 481:11
'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Sufyan, from his father, from 'Abayah ibn Rifa'ah, who said: Rafi' ibn Khadij informed me, saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "Fever is from the heat of Hell, so cool it with water."
حدثنا عبد الرحمن، عن سفيان، عن أبيه، عن عباية بن رفاعة، قال: أخبرني رافع بن خديج، قال: سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " الحمى من فور جهنم، فأبردوها بالماء "
