Hadith 481:17
Surayj narrated to us, he said: Fulayh narrated to us, from Utbah ibn Muslim, from Nafi ibn Jubayr, he said: Marwan addressed the people and mentioned Makkah and its sanctity. Rafi ibn Khadij called out to him and said: "If Makkah is a sanctuary, then Madinah is a sanctuary which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) made a sanctuary. It is written with us on a piece of Khawlani leather; if you wish for us to read it to you, we shall do so." Marwan called out to him: "Yes, that has reached us."
حدثنا سريج، قال: حدثنا فليح، عن عتبة بن مسلم، عن نافع بن جبير، قال: خطب مروان الناس، فذكر مكة وحرمتها، فناداه رافع بن خديج، فقال: " إن مكة إن تكن حرما، فإن المدينة حرم حرمها رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وهو مكتوب عندنا في أديم خولاني، إن شئت أن نقرئكه فعلنا " فناداه مروان: أجل قد بلغنا ذلك
