Hadith 481:18
Qutaybah ibn Sa'id narrated to us, he said: Bakr ibn Mudar narrated to us, from Ibn al-Had, from Abu Bakr ibn Muhammad, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn 'Uthman, from Rafi' ibn Khadij, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, Ibrahim (peace be upon him) declared Makkah a sanctuary, and I declare what is between its two lava fields (al-labatayn) a sanctuary," meaning Madinah.
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد، قال: حدثنا بكر بن مضر، عن ابن الهاد، عن أبي بكر بن محمد، عن عبد الله بن عمرو بن عثمان، عن رافع بن خديج، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إن إبراهيم عليه السلام حرم مكة، وإني أحرم ما بين لابتيها " يريد المدينة
