Hadith 481:3
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Malik ibn Anas, who said: Rabi'ah narrated to me, from Hanzalah ibn Qays, from Rafi' ibn Khadij, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade the renting of farms." I said: "For gold and silver?" He said: "No. He only forbade it for a portion of what comes out of them. As for gold and silver, there is no harm in it."
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد، عن مالك بن أنس، قال: حدثني ربيعة، عن حنظلة بن قيس، عن رافع بن خديج، قال: " نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن كراء المزارع " قال: قلت: بالذهب والفضة؟ قال: لا. إنما " نهى عنه ببعض ما يخرج منها "، فأما بالذهب والفضة، فلا بأس به
