Hadith 481:5
Yazid narrated to us, Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Ansari narrated to us, from Muhammad ibn Yahya, from Rafi' ibn Khadij, from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said: "There is no cutting [of the hand as a punishment for theft] regarding fruit, nor regarding the *kathar* (the spathe of the palm tree)."
حدثنا يزيد، حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد الأنصاري، عن محمد بن يحيى، عن رافع بن خديج، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " لا قطع في ثمر ولا كثر "
