Hadith 179:16
Yahya ibn Sa’id and Ibn Numayr narrated to us, they said: ‘Ubayd Allah narrated to us—Yahya said: from ‘Ubayd Allah—Nafi’ informed me, he said: Ibn ‘Umar used to lease out farms. Then it reached him that Rafi’ was attributing a hadith to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) regarding it. So Ibn ‘Umar went out to him at al-Balat and asked him. He informed him: "That the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) forbade the leasing of farms." So ‘Abd Allah ceased leasing them. Ibn Numayr said in his narration: So Ibn ‘Umar went to him, and I went with him. And Muhammad ibn ‘Ubayd also narrated it to us, he said: So Ibn ‘Umar went, and I went with him.
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد، وابن نمير، قال : حدثنا عبيد الله، قال يحيى: عن عبيد الله، أخبرني نافع، قال: كان ابن عمر يكري المزارع، فبلغه أن رافعا يأثر فيه حديثا عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فخرج إليه ابن عمر إلى البلاط ، فسأله فأخبره: " أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم نهى عن كراء المزارع " فترك عبد الله كراءها، قال ابن نمير في حديثه: فذهب إليه ابن عمر، وذهبت معه ، وحدثناه محمد بن عبيد أيضا، قال: فذهب ابن عمر وذهبت معه
