Musnad Ahmad 293:4

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, he said: Hisham—meaning al-Dastawa'i—narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to us, from Hilal ibn Abi Maymunah, he said: 'Ata' ibn Yasar narrated to us, that Rifa'ah al-Juhani narrated to him, he said: We came with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, until when we were at al-Kadid—or he said: at Qadid—men began to ask permission to go to their families, and they were granted permission. He said: So he praised Allah and extolled Him, and said something good, and said: "I bear witness before Allah, no servant dies who bears witness that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, truthfully from his heart, then acts uprightly, except that he will be led into Paradise." Then he said: "My Lord promised me that He would admit seventy thousand of my nation without reckoning, and I hope that they will not enter it until you, and those who are righteous among your spouses and your descendants, have settled in dwellings in Paradise." And he said: "When half of the night, or two-thirds of the night, has passed, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, descends to the lowest heaven and says: 'I do not ask anyone about My servants other than Myself. Who is it that seeks My forgiveness, so that I may forgive him? Who is it that calls upon Me, so that I may answer him? Who is it that asks of Me, so that I may give to him?' until the dawn breaks."
