Hadith 328:7
Muhammad ibn Bakr narrated to us, he said: Ibn Jurayj informed us, he said: Ibn Shihab informed me, from Ubayd Allah ibn Abd Allah ibn Utbah, from Abd Allah ibn Abbas, from Sa’b ibn Juthama, that he said: He passed by me while I was at al-Abwa’ or Waddan, and I gifted him a wild donkey, but he returned it to me. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw the dislike on my face, he said: "It is not that we reject it from you, but we are in a state of ihram." I said to Ibn Shihab: "Was the donkey slaughtered?" He said: "I do not know."
حدثنا محمد بن بكر، قال: أخبرنا ابن جريج قال: أخبرني ابن شهاب، عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله بن عتبة، عن عبد الله بن عباس، عن صعب بن جثامة أنه قال: مر بي وأنا بالأبواء أو بودان فأهديت له حمار وحش، فرده علي ، فلما رأى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، الكراهية في وجهي قال: " إنه ليس بنا رد عليك، ولكنا حرم "، قلت لابن شهاب: الحمار عقير، قال: لا أدري،
