Hadith of Sa'd ibn 'Ubadah (RA)

حديث سعد بن عبادة

Hadith 982:0

Narrated to us by Muhammad ibn Ja’far, who said: Narrated to us Shu’bah, from Qatadah, from Anas ibn Malik, that Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah was absent from a battle that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) participated in. So he said: "O Messenger of Allah, the most beloved of deeds to Allah is the one that is most beneficial to my people." He said: "A well." So he dug it and said: "This is for the mother of Sa’d."
