Musnad Ahmad 1164:0

Narrated Safiyyah, the Mother of the Believers, may Allah be pleased with her: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) went out for Hajj, and I went out with him. When we were at Sarif, I began to menstruate. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) entered upon me and I was weeping. He said: "What makes you weep?" I said: "I have menstruated." He said: "This is something that Allah has decreed for the daughters of Adam. So perform the rites that the pilgrims perform, except that you should not circumambulate the House (the Ka'bah) until you are pure." The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sacrificed a cow on behalf of his wives.
