Musnad Ahmad 1009:0

Narrated Safwan ibn al-Mu'attal al-Sulami: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "By Allah, I did not swear an oath, nor did I strike a woman, nor did I strike a servant, except in the cause of Allah. And no one has ever harmed me, but that I have sought retribution for it, except that it be a violation of the sanctities of Allah, in which case I would seek retribution for the sake of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
