Musnad Ahmad 918:6

Yahya ibn Ghaylan narrated to us, Rashdin narrated to us, Amr ibn al-Harith narrated to me, from Ibn Shihab, some of those whom I am pleased with narrated to me, from Sahl ibn Sa’d, that Ubayy narrated to him: "That the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) made it a concession for the believers due to the scarcity of their garments. Then, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) forbade it afterwards," meaning their saying: "Water is from water."
