Hadith of Salamah ibn al-Akwa‘ (RA)

Hadith 333:27

Abdullah ibn Yazid narrated to us, he said: Ikrimah ibn Ammar narrated to us, he said: Iyas ibn Salamah ibn al-Akwa narrated to us, from his father, who said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stopped at a place, and a spy of the polytheists came while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his companions were eating their morning meal. They invited him to their food. When the man finished, he mounted his riding beast and went off quickly to warn his companions. Salamah said: So I caught up with him, made his riding beast kneel, and struck his neck. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) granted me his spoils."
