Hadith 1089:13

Yazid narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah informed us, from Ali ibn Zayd, from Abu Uthman al-Nahdi, who said: We were with Salman under a tree, and he took a branch from it and shook it, and its leaves fell off. He said: "Will you not ask me why I did that?" We said: "Tell us." He said: We were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, in the shade of a tree, and he took a branch from it and shook it, and its leaves fell off. He said: "Will you not ask me why I did that?" We said: "Tell us, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "Indeed, when the Muslim servant stands for prayer, his sins fall away from him just as the leaves of this tree fall away."
