Hadith 1089:25
Mu'awiyah ibn 'Amr narrated to us, Abu Ishaq narrated to us, from Za'idah, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Jamil ibn Abi Maymunah, from Ibn Abi Zakariya al-Khuza'i, from Salman, that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, say: "Guarding the frontier for a day and a night in the way of Allah is better than fasting for a month and standing in prayer during it. If he dies, his reward for the one guarding the frontier continues to flow until he is resurrected, and he is protected from the tempter."
حدثنا معاوية بن عمرو، حدثنا أبو إسحاق، عن زائدة، عن محمد بن إسحاق، عن جميل بن أبي ميمونة، عن ابن أبي زكريا الخزاعي، عن سلمان، أنه سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول: " رباط يوم وليلة في سبيل الله كصيام شهر وقيامه، إن مات جرى عليه أجر المرابط حتى يبعث، ويؤمن الفتان "
