Hadith 1089:27
'Affan narrated to us, Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us, 'Ali bin Zayd informed us, from Abu 'Uthman an-Nahdi, from Salman, who said: I made a contract with my masters to plant five hundred date palm offshoots for them, and that when they took root, I would be free. He said: So I came to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and mentioned that to him. He said: "Plant them and stipulate the condition for them, and when you intend to plant, inform me." He said: So I informed him. He said: So he came and began planting them with his own hand, except for one that I planted with my own hand. They all took root, except for that one.
حدثنا عفان، حدثنا حماد بن سلمة، أخبرنا علي بن زيد، عن أبي عثمان النهدي، عن سلمان، قال: كاتبت أهلي على أن أغرس لهم خمس مائة فسيلة، فإذا علقت فأنا حر، قال: فأتيت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فذكرت ذلك له قال: " اغرس واشترط لهم، فإذا أردت أن تغرس فآذني " قال: فآذنته، قال: فجاء، فجعل يغرس بيده إلا واحدة غرستها بيدي، فعلقن إلا الواحدة
