Hadith 1089:32
Abu al-Mughirah narrated to us, Ibn Thabit ibn Thawban narrated to us, Hassan ibn Atiyyah narrated to me, from Abdullah ibn Abi Zakariyya, from a man, from Salman, from the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, who said: "Guarding the frontier for a day and a night is better than fasting for a month and standing in prayer during it, fasting without breaking it, and standing in prayer without tiring. And if he dies while guarding the frontier, his righteous deeds will continue to be credited to him until he is resurrected, and he will be protected from the punishment of the grave."
حدثنا أبو المغيرة، حدثنا ابن ثابت بن ثوبان، حدثني حسان بن عطية، عن عبد الله بن أبي زكريا، عن رجل، عن سلمان، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " رباط يوم وليلة أفضل من صيام شهر وقيامه، صائما لا يفطر، وقائما لا يفتر، وإن مات مرابطا جرى عليه كصالح عمله حتى يبعث، ووقي عذاب القبر "
