Hadith 296:11
Muhammad ibn Abi ‘Adi narrated to us, from Ibn ‘Awn, from Hafsa bint Sirin, from Umm al-Ra’ih bint Sulay’, from Salman ibn ‘Amir, that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said: "Charity given to the needy person is charity, and when it is given to a relative, it is two things: it is charity and it is maintaining ties of kinship."
حدثنا محمد بن أبي عدي، عن ابن عون، عن حفصة بنت سيرين، عن أم الرائح ابنة صليع، عن سلمان بن عامر، أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: " الصدقة على المسكين صدقة، وإنها على ذي الرحم اثنتان: إنها صدقة، وصلة "
