Hadith 296:13
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, he said: 'Asim narrated to us, from Hafsah, from al-Rabab, from Salman ibn 'Amir al-Dabbi, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with dates, for if he does not find dates, let him break it with water, for it is a purifier."
حدثنا أبو معاوية، قال: حدثنا عاصم ، عن حفصة، عن الرباب، عن سلمان بن عامر الضبي، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إذا أفطر أحدكم فليفطر على تمر، فإن لم يجد تمرا فليفطر على ماء، فإنه له طهور "
