Hadith 296:7
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, he said: 'Asim narrated to us, from Hafsah, from al-Rabab, from Salman ibn 'Amir al-Dabbi, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If one of you breaks his fast, let him break it with dates, for if he does not find any, let him break it with water, for it is purifying."
حدثنا أبو معاوية، قال: حدثنا عاصم، عن حفصة، عن الرباب، عن سلمان بن عامر الضبي، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إذا أفطر أحدكم فليفطر على تمر، فإن لم يجد فليفطر على ماء فإنه طهور "
