Musnad Ahmad 799:113

And from the Hadith of Samurah ibn Jundab (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)

Hadith 799:113

'Affan narrated to us, Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, al-Aswad ibn Qays narrated to us, from Tha'labah ibn 'Abbad, from Samurah ibn Jundub, who said: He stood one day as a preacher, and he mentioned in his sermon a hadith. He said: "While I and a boy from the Ansar were shooting at two targets of ours during the time of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, the sun rose, and it was in the eye of the observer the length of two spears." And he drove the hadith forward, then he said: "As for what follows," and he said: Then he clenched the tips of his fingers, then he said: "Or he stood," I am in doubt another time. And I have memorized what he said, so he did not advance a word from its place, nor did he delay anything. And Abu 'Awanah said: "While I and a boy from the Ansar," and he also said: "So it blackened until it became." And Abu 'Awanah said: "Zawul, but it is Zawul, which is more correct."
