And from the Hadith of Samurah ibn Jundab (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
ومن حديث سمرة بن جندب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 799:142
Waki’ narrated to us, Sufyan and Ibn Ja’far narrated to us, Shu’bah narrated to us, from ‘Abd al-Malik ibn ‘Umayr, from Zayd ibn ‘Uqbah, from Samurah ibn Jundub, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, these requests are scratches with which one of you scratches his own face." Ibn Ja’far said: "Scars with which a man scars himself, unless he asks a person of authority, or in a matter that is unavoidable."
حدثنا وكيع، حدثنا سفيان، وابن جعفر، حدثنا شعبة، عن عبد الملك بن عمير، عن زيد بن عقبة، عن سمرة بن جندب، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إن هذه المسائل كد يكد بها أحدكم وجهه، وقال ابن جعفر: كدوح يكدح بها الرجل، إلا أن يسأل ذا سلطان، أو في أمر لا بد منه "
