Musnad Ahmad 799:16

Muhammad ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, ‘Awf narrated to us, he said: And a man narrated to me, he said: I heard Samurah delivering a sermon on the pulpit of Basra, and he was saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "Indeed, the woman was created from a rib, and if you wish to straighten the rib, you will break it. So, treat her gently, and you will live with her."
