Zakariya ibn 'Adi narrated to us, 'Ubaydullah informed us, from 'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Umayr, from Husayn ibn Qabisah, from Samurah ibn Jundub, who said: A Bedouin asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, while he was delivering a sermon, and he interrupted his sermon. He said: "O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about the dabb (lizard)?" He said: "A nation from the Children of Israel was transformed, and Allah knows best into which of the beasts they were transformed."
