And from the Hadith of Samurah ibn Jundab (RA), from the Prophet (SAW)
ومن حديث سمرة بن جندب (1) ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
Hadith 799:179
'Affan narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from al-Hasan, from Samurah, that the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to say: "Every boy is held in pledge by his 'aqiqah (sacrifice), which is slaughtered on his seventh day, and he is shaved, and blood is applied to him."
حدثنا عفان، حدثنا همام، حدثنا قتادة، عن الحسن، عن سمرة، أن نبي الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يقول: " كل غلام رهينة بعقيقته، تذبح يوم سابعه، ويحلق ويدمى "
