Musnad Ahmad 799:58

'Ali ibn 'Asim narrated to us, Sulayman al-Taymi narrated to us, from Abu al-'Ala' ibn al-Shikhkhir, from Samurah ibn Jundub, who said: "While we were with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, a bowl containing tharid (bread soaked in broth) was brought." He said: "So he ate, and the people ate. The people continued to pass it around until near noon; every group would eat, then stand up, and another group would come and take their turn." He said: A man said to him, "Was it being replenished with food?" He said: "As for from the earth, no; unless it was being replenished from the heaven."
