Musnad Ahmad 799:78

Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, from Samurah, from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who said: "The middle prayer is the afternoon prayer (al-'Asr)."
