Hadith of the Servant of the Prophet (SAW)

Hadith 714:3

Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Abu 'Aqil Hashim ibn Bilal, from Sabiq ibn Najiyah, from Abu Salam—Abu al-Nadr said: al-Habashi—he said: A man passed by him in the mosque of Homs, and it was said: "This man served the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." So he stood up to him and said: "Narrate to me a hadith you heard from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that has not been passed between you and him by other men." He said: I heard the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say: "There is no servant who says when he enters the evening and when he enters the morning: 'I am pleased with Allah as a Lord, with Islam as a religion, and with Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, as a Prophet,' three times, but it is incumbent upon Allah to please him."
