Hadith 458:6
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Abu Qilabah, from Abu al-Ash'ath, from Shaddad ibn Aws, who said: I memorized two things from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He said: "Indeed, Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, has prescribed excellence (ihsan) upon everything. So when you kill, kill with excellence, and when you slaughter, slaughter with excellence. Let one of you sharpen his blade, and let him give comfort to his sacrificial animal."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق، حدثنا معمر، عن أيوب، عن أبي قلابة، عن أبي الأشعث، عن شداد بن أوس، قال: حفظت من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم اثنتين: أنه قال: " إن الله عز وجل كتب الإحسان على كل شيء، فإذا قتلتم، فأحسنوا القتلة، وإذا ذبحتم، فأحسنوا الذبح ، وليحد أحدكم شفرته، ثم ليرح ذبيحته "
