Hadith 781:1
Hushaym narrated to us, from Ya‘la ibn ‘Ata’, from ‘Abdullah ibn Sufyan al-Thaqafi, from his father, that a man said: "O Messenger of Allah." Hushaym said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, command me with a matter in Islam about which I will not ask anyone after you." He said: "Say: I believe in Allah, then remain steadfast." He said: I said: "Then what should I fear?" He gestured toward his tongue.
حدثنا هشيم، عن يعلى بن عطاء، عن عبد الله بن سفيان الثقفي، عن أبيه، أن رجلا قال: يا رسول الله، وقد، قال هشيم: قلت: يا رسول الله، مرني في الإسلام بأمر لا أسأل عنه أحدا بعدك. قال: " قل آمنت بالله، ثم استقم ". قال: قلت: فما أتقي، فأومأ إلى لسانه "
