Hadith 300:11
Musa ibn Dawud narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Jabir narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Badr, from Talq ibn Ali, who said: We arrived as a delegation to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. When we bade him farewell, he commanded me, so I brought him a leather vessel of water. He sipped from it, then spat into it three times, then tied it shut. Then he said: "Go with it and sprinkle the mosque of your people, and command them to raise their heads, for Allah has raised them." I said: "The land between us and you is far, and it will dry up." He said: "If it dries up, then add more water to it."
حدثنا موسى بن داود، حدثنا محمد بن جابر، عن عبد الله بن بدر، عن طلق بن علي قال: وفدنا على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فلما ودعنا أمرني فأتيته بإداوة من ماء، فحسا منها، ثم مج فيها ثلاثا، ثم أوكأها، ثم قال: " اذهب بها وانضح مسجد قومك وأمرهم يرفعوا برءوسهم أن رفعها الله "، قلت: إن الأرض بيننا وبينك بعيدة وإنها تيبس، قال: " فإذا يبست فمدها "
